ABOUT

Hi there! Dean Milan, growing director, cinematographer, filmmaker, and content creator! During my hazy middle school days, I spent my free time exploring different past times and hobbies, including many sports and other activities. So, I explored karate, instruments, tech, games, puzzles, arts, you name it. After lots of trial and error, I figured out what I always came back to! Filmmaking and storytelling.

I opened a Youtube channel back in April 2016. Since then, I've blossomed a love for cinematography, sound design, powerful storytelling, classic analog film, and capturing the world around me! While in Cypress Bay High, I was part of a team that made weekly episodes for a show called "Aftershock", for 3 years. The door out into the wild west of media opened, and I got to endure creating documentaries, local news, music videos, short films, dramas, comedic skits, and so much more. After graduating from high school in 2021, I joined Savannah College of Art and Design! I soak in the knowledge and experience I learn from the projects, sets, and crews I work with, and I build on them. I love what I do, and I continue my path working on my skills and abilities every day.

Today, I work mainly as either a Director of Photography, 1st or 2nd Assistant Camera, Boom Operator, Grip, Photographer, Colorist, Editor, or Sound Designer. I have lots of experience with intermediate to some industry level equipment and tools, such as Blackmagic Design and RED cameras, and software like Avid Media Composer, Davinci Resolve, Adobe (Ps, LrC, Pr, Ae, Me), Final Draft and Pro Tools. I've completed photography work with DSLR and SLR camera brands such as Nikon, Canon, Panasonic, Sony, Olympus, Ricoh, and Kodak.
