4) The Walks in Savannah
Experimental
November 2022

During the fall quarter of my sophomore year in SCAD, I rigged up my Krasnogorsk camera again to shoot another test roll! The practice with this wonderfully rugged camera has paid off, and my results with the film are much sharper than before.

Experiences and memories on the streets, in the parks, on other film sets, and days with a beautiful sun out! This camera is always so thrilling to use, and the payoff when you get your results in the film brings me this level of joy that I can recall from childhood.
It's very rewarding to see that I've correctly exposed the film, I got the focus right, and I can shoot with real film with a camera that is so affordable compared to other analog motion picture cameras.

3) Outside my Window
Travel/Personal Film
August 2022

Alaska is an absolutely wondrous state, with thousands of square miles of beautiful terrain. I had an incredible opportunity to visit the area and bring my camera along with me.

Nature is so precious to me, and it's one of the most important things I see in my life to appreciate. From the smallest flowers to entire mountains, I did my best to capture my memories here to keep them in a touching time capsule.

2) A Day in the Park
Experimental
July 2022
Never before have I had the chance to use an analog motion picture camera that shot at a framerate greater than 16. I was able to obtain a Krasnagorsk 16mm camera, and it has the ability to shoot any at a regular cinematic speed!

The film gate shutter, beautiful vibrant colors within the negative, fine chunky grain, and organic curves! I give anything I shoot on film a little end card, "Film is Eternal". The highlight roll off, clarity, and dynamic range capabilities of Kodak film stock is totally unforgettable and one of a kind.

Even though the camera is loud and would need a synchronous motor to work with a sound recording kit, its still a great and affordable tool for capturing this look. I can't wait until the days I can bring these rolls of stock to an industry camera like the classic Panavision or Arriflex series!

1) Wintertide
Travel/Personal Film
March 2021
This was the best chance I got to capture winter seasoned footage during a family trip, and some drone shots! I practiced merging color grades between Blackmagic RAW footage and DJI H.264 color profile, and also experimented with stacking different exposure adjustments of the same shot together, creating extremely high dynamic range results. Fun stuff!
